Stop Motion Video With 6,000 Post-It Notes

I stumbled across this little gem of a video, Deadline, by Bang-yao Liu on YouTube via the Unit Interactive blog. The Unit Interactive blog I had never heard of before and I stumbled upon it by incorrectly typing in a URL for another website. Two happy discoveries in one typo - not bad!

Here's what Bang-yao Liu says about the video:

"This is my senior project at Savannah College of Art and Design. Where my idea comes from is that every time when I am busy, I feel that I am not fighting with my works, I am fighting with those post-it notes and deadline. I manipulating the post-it notes to do pixel-like stop motion and there are some interactions between real actor and post-its."

It's amazing what can be accomplished with a just a little bit of gear, a good deal of planning, a lot of creativity, and over 6,000 Post-It notes.

And here's the making of Deadline:
