DCP 44: David duChemin of Pixelated Image
In Episode 44 of the Digital Convergence Podcast, Chris Fenwick and I speak with world and humanitarian photographer and author David duChemin.
David duChemin is a thoughtful ranter.
He is never rude, but, rather, passionately convincing in his push to help us become better photographers and visual artists. As you listen to this podcast, I think you'll agree that David provides a good dose of fertilizer in the cultivation of our art - whether we are still photographers or filmmakers. Chris and I find ourselves wonderfully engaged in David's take on gear, technique and vision. Despite his recent accident in Pisa, Italy, and the painful and ensuing healing and rehabilitation process, it appears that David has not slowed down and, in fact, appears to have accelerated his mission to improve our vision.
David is the author of the following books (published by Peachpit): Vision Mongers - Making A Life and a Living In Photography, Within the Frame: The Journey of Photographic Vision, and Vision & Voice: Refining Your Vision in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. He is also the author of a number of beautiful and wonderfully inspiring e-books available at Craft and Vision.
We'll be talking with David again! Well, I should say, listening! He has so much to share.
I apologize for the audio quality. It seems of late I have to apologize more and more for Skype. The hiss and signal drop-offs were nearly unbearable. I doubt seriously if Microsoft is going to raise the quality bar with Skype. If anything, the quality has gotten worse.
